Perspective Fitness

We are really pleased to be able to offer personal training and fitness instruction as part of Perspective. (It would be foolish not to when thinking about health and wellbeing!)

Lu is a fully qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has gained experience inside and outside the gym.

Her passion for fitness started in her early teens; with running and ‘old school’ fitness DVDs. It wasn’t long until she was researching how to write her own programmes and finding the best and safest ways to reach her fitness targets. Over the years, (life, marriage, having children and living with a disability) Lu was able to achieve a whopping 4 stone weight loss with simple and effective ways that have stayed with her even now.

She is determined and passionate, striving for ways to make fitness and a healthy lifestyle fun and achievable, looking at the ‘whole’ person.

She is well versed in various running programmes and writes several programmes for a variety of goals including weights, overall health and fitness, body weight training, race preparation, weight loss, muscle toning and strengthening.

Ross has always had an active lifestyle, from walking as a mode of transport, to kayaking and hiking for pleasure.

Initially Ross’ focus through teenage years and early adulthood was on cycling, although more recently has switched to running which he enjoys with Lu. Ross has also previously enjoyed Tae Kwon Do, reaching green belt.

A combination of training for fun and physically demanding job roles has helped keep Ross active over the years. Ross studied for his personal trainer and fitness instructing qualifications in 2021 and enjoys putting his knowledge into practice to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

With a personal love of being outdoors and a fascination of training in different environments, Ross loves the challenge of creating a workout program that suits you and your space.

There is so much information out there to tell us what to eat, how to lose weight, the most effective way to exercise etc that it can be difficult to work out what is right for you. Much of the information seems to be contradictory! Even with all the motivation and best intentions in the world, it can be so difficult to get started. Having a clear plan and a level of accountability can make all the difference.

We’ve been there and had the very same battles. We believe that having had these difficulties (along with those days that you just don’t want to put your trainers on or even get off the sofa) we can really help you to reach the fitness goals you are after. We can also utilise life and mindset coaching throughout your journey. Both Ross and Lu are qualified coaches and have researched life and mindset coaching for many years. Their experiences and skills are added throughout to guide and coach you for greater success. How this is used within sessions greatly depends on the client and the goals, but by adding this, we can see amazing results.

With our combined experience of working 1-to-1, offering advice to larger groups and working in a gym, we are able to work with you and meet you where you are, helping you get to where you want to be, whether you are new on the fitness journey, starting afresh, wanting to improve or reaching specific personal goals. This can be done in a variety of ways such as – in person 1 to 1 sessions, zoom meets, guided programmes written and sent to you, using a variety of fitness equipment. We aim to be flexible and work with you and your budget to ensure your success.

Utilising the power of perspective, we can look at what you want to achieve for your better health and wellbeing. Get in touch and let us know what you’d like to achieve.
